So they're finally getting around to expanding out battlegroup. Frenzy was the smallest battlegroup, with only six realms. We had to wait for years for one BG. It sucked. It was the only downside of the new server. But now we'll have 13 realms like everyone else! Woohoo! PvP FTW!
Downside... our servers are down for 24 hours while they put everything together. Bastards.
Added a bunch of pictures from the beginning of the expansion, karazhan and Gruul's.
Have a few more to add in, but they're mostly screencaps of conversations that amused me at the time.
Two of them are with one of the guild officers, one is with a warlock who used to be in my guild, but has moved on. He's still in our lock channel, though, so I still talk to him all the time. He's very entertaining.
Anyhoo. Off to do something productive. Like grocery shop. Ugh.
Hmmm.
Talk about a long time since I've updated this thing.
Expansion is great, new server is great, running the guild is great...
Okay, yeah, in just over a year, I went from joining the guild to guild leader. Scary shit. O.O
We've gone from losing about 9/10ths of our raiding force, to clearing Karazhan and killing the first boss in Gruul's Lair, though, so I'm proud. It's been a ton of work, both for me and for my 'second in command'. Truth be told, she's probably done more work than I have, though.
Anyway. Maybe I'll get better at updating this thing. I have tons of pictures!
So it's been a while since I updated.
Let's see. We downed Huhuran, finally. We also cleared trash between Huhu and the Twin Emps, which was nightmarish. We did get a few tries at the Emps, but haven't managed to kill them just yet.
We also made a couple of forays into Naxx. The trash mobs there are... I don't even really have words. Difficult doesn't even begin to describe it. But we did fairly well as a group, though the gargoyles suck. Windily.
Our guild downed two of the green dragons, and Kazzak. Strike three world bosses off the list! Lethon and Emeriss down, Ysondre and Taerer to go.
The exodus of horde guilds from our server seems to have stopped, though I think there are only about 3 or 4 viable horde guilds that raid end content on a regular basis now. Alliance outnumber us by like 5 to 1 or some such.
The new patch... some good, some bad. The world pvp is not all that great for us, because of the alliance to horde imbalance. But the new cross-realm battlegrounds? Brilliant. :D Though having gotten 73k honor in one week and going BACK 9% in my rank? That blows.
Druid is level 54, almost 55. That rocks a lot. She'll be my first lvl 60 alt. Woot!
Uploaded a bunch of screencaps, some from when Beddy was a baby lock, some of the bosses. Don't have many of Bull as a baby, so I just added the few I had of her, too.
Other than that, just raiding, farming and pvp. Fun times.
Oh! And Cosaga showed me a way to get in behind the walls of Undercity. That was kind of cool, too. I forgot to screencap, though he said he was going to add that to his next video, so we'll see. I promised him I'd show him how to get behind the walls of Org, next time I see him (not in pvp). I do adore my pally friend. (GASP! Silly alliance.) Still can't beat him in a duel though. Grr.
What was your favorite candy when you were a kid? How does that compare to now?
I didn't really have a favorite candy. Hmm. Maybe pixi stix?
My favorite candy was any candy I could hoard from my brothers, just to tease them. I've never had a real sweet tooth (except for sugar in my coffee), so I don't know that I actually have a favorite candy now, either. On the rare occasions that I want something sweet, I'll go for M & M's or even just chocolate chips, sometimes. They're not too sweet, just sweet enough.
But I liked pixi stix. Or hmm. Candy necklaces were neat. Or ooh. The little wax "pop" bottles with the sugar syrup inside? I don't know that I really liked the candy as much as I did the novelty.
Says a lot about my mindset, I guesss. :P
I hate maintenance day. :P
I've already checked the guild forums, the realm forums, the my livejournal (both friends lists), email and bugged people on AIM.
Am going to have to resort to pvp forums in a minute. Which is very scary.
Hold me.
So with all the Nature Resist gear farming, and a bazillion hours of farming living essence, I got my nature resist to 202 buffed for last night's raid. I was one of about 15 people who did. Remember me saying that at least 15 people needed to have it 200 or better, to take the crapload of damage at the end of the fight?
Yeah.
All in all, not a bad raid, for a learning run. We got the beastie down to 23% twice, which is respectable for a first try. Not to say wiping all night long and a 15 gold repair bill is all that enjoyable, but it wasn't bad. It's only gold, there's more where that came from.
I respecced Bedditch, too. Out of dark pact, into intensity. Hopefully this keeps me from getting interrupted as much during aoe. We'll see... I'm skeptical, but I hear it's worth it. I've been skeptical on things in this game before, and had them turn out far better than I hoped. I'm too jaded by the bazillion other games I've played before this one... these guys just managed to get everything right, it seems.
One more living essence to find, then I can add another 10 to NR. I don't think I'm going to waste the DKP to pay for +15 nature resist enchant. I'd rather spend it on +shadow damage instead. In theory, only melee should need all this NR anyway, I only ended up front because we're still building.
Off I go.
So, now that we have Fankriss down, and the fact that we also can do BWL in about 3.5 hours (give or take), this means that on Sunday we're going to be doing Princess Huhuran.
Apparently you need at least 15 people with 200 nature resist or better. I have approximately 25, unbuffed. This means I will be spending the better part of the next couple days farming nature resist gear. I suppose I don't need to be one of those 15, but higher NR = higher survivability, so it can't hurt, right?
Thus, I am off to Maraudon to farm bosses. Whee.
